Argentina : Tours : Visiting the glaciers

The Glaciers National Park is a scene of impressive glaciers descending the continental ice field. Thirteen glaciers sloping to the Atlantic, wearing away the large towers above the waters of the Viedma and Argentino Lakes. The fronts of the Perito Moreno, Mayo, Spegazzini, and Upsala are falling, a little behind these on the shore are the Agassiz, Onelli, Ameghino, and Frνas Glaciers. On top of this amazing site are the tertiary granite hills covered in thick Andean forests. We can go by boat on the lake to have a closer look at the glacial fronts and hike up to thousand year old ice. This park has a surface area of approximately 60,000 hectares, with natural beauty offering uncommon views. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO due to the wildlife conservation here of endangered species.

Day 1. El Calafate
Reception at El Calafate Airport. Accommodation and dinner at selected Hotel.(*)

Day 2. El Calafate
Continental breakfast. Full day lake trip to see Upsala Glacier and Onelli bay, cruising among icebergs that have broken off from the glacier. This excursion is available from September to April in regular basis and from July to September subject to weather conditions and with a minimum of participants. Dinner.

Day 3. El Calafate
Continental breakfast. Overland trip to Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world’s largest active continental glaciers, declared Universal Mankind´s Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its breathtaking beauty and its unusual behavior. Return to El Calafate. Dinner.

Day 4. El Calafate
Continental breakfast. Transfer to El Calafate airport.(*)

Cancellation Policy

Once the reservation has been confirmed by Gotolatin, the following charges will apply for cancellations made by the passenger, according to the program departure date:

• 45 working days before the beginning of the program:
  US$100 per passenger (adult or minor).
• Between 45 and 30 working days before the beginning of the program:
  30% of total program value per passenger.
  
• Between 30 and 15 working days before the beginning of the program:
  60% of total program value per passenger.
  
• Between 15 and 0 working days before the beginning of the program: No refund applies.
  
• There are no refunds for portions of the program not used, hotel accommodations, etc.
• We recommend considering travel insurance for any reason.
